Summer is the season for lounging lakeside, s’mores at the campfire, adventures on the trail…and wildflowers! We took a walk on Wednesday from the lodge to the cove to so that we could bring a few of our summer blooms home to you.

We’re enjoying the blossom of mid-summer, and we are happy to report that our guests are too! Our visiting naturalist, Kendra Stritch returns to Cove Point Lodge for Nature Nights July 25th-27th. Learn about our natural landscape, and explore our shoreline. Our next topic will be wildflower identification, and we have just a few rooms left. Give us a call to reserve yours, today!

For those who can’t join us this summer, but would like to keep track of our flora and fauna as we move throughout the year – join us on iNaturalist. We’re just beginning to post our observations, and you can watch us grow! Keep an eye out for new projects where we can track nature’s movements across our land and surrounding area together. We can’t wait to share what’s happening here with all of you!

As always  – our guests are the best, and  is the life for us! We hope to see you soon.
