- Absolutely my favorite “North Shore” place. The views alone are with the price! Every room faces the lake, and even on this cold February day, there is a beauty of the ice, looking like crystals, that extends from the shore out about 100’. Some of the best food anywhere and the wait staff I had 2 nights in a row was excellent attending to every detail and adding comments about the area. The rooms are cozy and very comfortable; the main lodge wood burning fireplace with a hearth nearly big enough to walk in, is the heart of the property and burns 24 hours. I love coming here. Cove Point Lodge is in a perfect location with gorgeous views of Lake Superior. It is close to Duluth, many Stake Parks, skiing, Grand Marais, waterfalls, Split Rock Lighthouse, and so much more! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The cottages are clean, well kept, beautiful and perfect for families. I highly recommend this place for your next North Shore visit!
