Traveling up the shore this week?  You are in luck, it’s officially lupine season.  These wondrous wildflowers grace the ditches of Hwy 61with their pinks and purple stalks, making the view of mixed of wildflowers hot competition for those precious Lake Superior views.

Lupine season isn’t long, and makes the 54 mile drive from Duluth to Cove Point Lodge a trip worth taking.  After taking in the colors, you may find yourself ordering seeds of your own to plant in your garden.  These seeds spread and over time you’ll have your own waves of color to enjoy.  For a full calendar of wildflower bloom times visit:
