You can drive to Split Rock or hike or ride your bike directly from the lodge to the park on paved trails. You will be able to tour the lighthouse and all the facilities and, if you wish, picnic next to one of the most popular photograph opportunities in Minnesota.

While the lake can be wild, it is always beautiful. And you can now get on Lake Superior safely with our own Charter Captain Nate. He is one of our managers at the lodge and he has top notch equipment and a keen eye for safety. He would be happy to take you out on Lake Superior for a fishing or excursion adventure. You might also be interested in a couple that is taking a 1,800 mile hike around Lake Superior. They started out in May and will be walking down the North Shore in late September and October. You can follow them at www.fullcirclesuperior.org
