50 miles northeast of Duluth on scenic 61, Cove Point sits in the middle of the North Shore's most sought after natural attractions - the Superior National Forest, Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse and Tettegouche State Parks. 		 

You're here to take in the lake so we made sure every guest area has a great view of the Lake - all guest rooms, the dining & lounge areas, the great hall (w/the shore's largest fireplace - above) and the pool, sauna, hot tub area.

 

 

 

Cove Pointers

We invite you to stay with us at Cove Point Lodge this Winter!  Snowshoe in the woods, play a game of checkers by the wood burning stove in Mickey's Fishhouse by the lake, roast marshmallows over our lakeside campfire or cross country ski on the beautifully groomed trails.  Relax in our indoor pool, hot tub or sauna or snuggle up by the warm, stone fireplace in the lobby.

  •   Shovel Point at Tettegouche State Park.  9 miles
  •   Grand Marais...shopping, eating, & pebble beach for rock skipping.  60 miles
  •   Gooseberry Falls...magnificent falls & interesting trails.  10 miles
  •   Bike on the Gitchi-Gami Bike Trail.
  •   Play a round of golf in Silver Bay, Two Harbors, Duluth or Lutsen.
  •   Canoe or Kayak the cove at Dumbbell Lake.
  •   Fish for trout at the Baptism River near Finland.

 

We invite you to join us for dinner in our Lakeside Lodge Dining Room or at The Crossings!  

Dinner seating in the lodge is 5-8:00pm Sunday-Thursday and 5-8:30 Friday & Saturday evenings.   Let Chef Brian and his staff delight your taste buds with our Northwood's specialties featuring local cuisine and nightly dinner features.  Our specialties include our Broiled Walleye, Lucca Pasta and Chicken Norway.  We offer a complete menu of cocktails, wine selections and home-made desserts.

The Crossings Sports Bar & Grille is available as an additional dining option for our guests.  The Crossings offers a unique selection of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and our famous "Thin-Crust" pizza!  We are open Friday & Saturday 12pm - 10pm & Sundays 12pm-8pm.  

Cove Point Lodge has a fantastic Lake side location where you can take in any of the numerous North Shore activities. Within steps of our door are the Superior Hiking Trail and the Gitchi-Gami Bike Trail, both meander through Split Rock Lighthouse and Gooseberry State Parks, or visit the quaint village of Beaver Bay. We have a frisbee golf course and snowshoes avaialable to all our guests. Golfing is a few minutes away as are all the major North Shore Attractions.
